Tom, I recommend that you look at Daniel Simon's 3d models to get a good sense of detail touch for the final. The logo on tire is looking very crude and toylike.
graphics on the tires are big improvement. On your alternate design sketches, try sharpening (filter) the tires. they are looking too muddy. try to think about how the gray background on the interior will fit into your portfolio.
i think the black racing stripes on the side is a disraction. it ends up overwhelming your design and hides the form.
Thanks for the comment David. I shortened the stripe on the side so it doesn't go over two body panels -- I hope it's a bit better. I tried the sharpening tool in photoshop but it didn't seem to do much. #3 has the wheels sharpened.
